Studio 406 is an incentive program that's all about helping movie makers make movies in Montana. Pitch the 406 is a contest that takes our incentives to the next level. Here's how it works, step by step:
Qualify Your Idea: In order for your pitch to qualify you must have some financing in place and a finished script, and want to shoot your film in Montana. Preference will be given to projects that have been green-lit or have studio backing. Read the complete rules here.
Film Your Pitch: Film a short video pitch about the movie you'd like to make in Montana. Please cover the basic story line and tell us why you think Montana is the right place for your movie to be made. The video can be as simple or elaborate as you like. It can be you pitching from your couch at home, a scene test, or a trailer/teaser for the film.
Submit Your Pitch: Submissions are free and must be received by November 30, 2011, via our YouTube Channel. Video submissions will not be made public until they've been viewed by our screening panel. If it complies with all rules, it'll be posted for people to watch. You can submit as many pitches as you like, as long as they each qualify under the rules.
Judging the Pitches: Our distinguished panel will review the pitches and select a winning pitch. Pitches will be judged based on creativity, fit for Montana and how they match up with qualifications.
Winner Announced: On or about January 1, 2012, a single winner will be announced. The winner will be notified via email and posted at www.scout406.com shortly after the announcement. The second and third place winners will be awarded some Studio 406 branded swag.
So, what are you waiting for? Submit your entry here and let's get your picture made!
